josie parkinson is not a sex robot anymore, she’s a stand-up comedian for humans. and now that she finally has the floor, she would love to tell you her side of things: from the lack of sex education at the amazon warehouse hemel hempstead and her dark days as property, to her sudden sentience and new career in the business we call show…business and then ultimately landing on the value of free will and pleasure, via the sensuality of the pie machine from chicken run.
this multimedia hour of comedy takes aim at misogyny, our relationship to technology and the roles society expects us to play. performed by josie parkinson (the human comedian) in costume with a distinct school-play aesthetic, the show is by turns heartfelt and moving, while remaining deeply, deeply silly throughout. also there is a beautiful dance at the end which is always nice isn’t it?
